    Sao khong ai na^'u gi` cho ngo^. coi he^'t va^.y ????

    I am traveling; so I have plenty of good excuses for not cooking! hahahahahahaha
    Just had a fantastic lunch: Peking duck (crispy crunchy skin), pan seared scallops with bokchoy and hand pulled noodles (chow mein of the "rich" kind).
    HongKong food is great!
    Tonight, I will have pho*? Pasteur then few beers at my hotel.


    No more Vi.t Ba('c kinh , a(n la.i la^`n ky` ro^`i gio*` nghi~ dde^'n la` no^?i da ga` ,da vi.t luo^n ddo'

      Happy Mom & All:

      I am officially on vacation in less than 18 hours;

      and when I want to cook, I would do a fresh pasta dish served together with some grilled meat;

      or else,

      when I am at my farm, I will cook "cha'o lo`ng" for everyone, especially the Mexican workers (they love this dish; we have a pig killed, they do all of the hard work; I just show them how to put together the dish as it's served in Vietnam, but much much more meat & excellent stock).

        Here is the menu of my dinner party last Sunday:

        (party for 6 elderly guests and 4 of us)

        * ox tail rice soup

        * medaillons of beef tender loin, grilled, served with balsamic sauce

        * pan seared scallops with butter shallot sauce + peapods

        * fetucine with ox tail stew and peas

        * apple pie + ice cream

        * coffee, tea, cognac, kahlu'a

        All was well recieved, since the food was tender, easy to digest and tasty. Just a spoon of cooked rice in the pho*? bo` broth made a new dish as appetizer, which loved by all.

            I seldomly see these neighbors, so I want to treat them a nice dinner, the one they can chew and swallow. Very small serving portion for each; but very tender and tasty.

            besides what I posted, we served white wine, red wine of various kinds from California (Chateau Raymond). This year, we removed all heavy liquor from the side table, since we learned that few of them are not so healthy.
